Two Frozen Bananas is all about making easy plant based recipes. For anyone too busy to learn the long and what can-be-difficult process of figuring it out on your own. Here, you will find tried and true recipes. That even a busy mom of two (myself) can whip up quickly and please the whole family.
Going vegan is not something I encourage anyone to do overnight. Although it would be amazing for the animals, environment and your health. I have a more realistic perspective on going plant-based. It is not entirely easy. Especially if you have been eating the standard American diet your whole life. Lets face it, tofu does not taste like chicken and cashew cheese does not taste like mozzarella or cheddar. To understand what ingredients can be used to satisfy the cravings for your favorite foods. It takes a lot of patience, trial and error.
This is why I am so passionate about offering you my experience, advice and recommendations. To help make your journey as exciting and enjoyable as it should be. Whether you already practice a plant-based diet or you’re beginning to incorporate more meatless Mondays into your mealtimes. I hope that you enjoy making my recipes and also learning about the importance of certain ingredients used.
About the writer
Aside from spending time in the kitchen playing with food. Playing with my two beautiful little girls and loving husband. You can find me doing one of two things. One of my favorite ways to gather and organize my thoughts is at hot yoga. Silence is such an important part of yoga practice. It allows me to quiet and organize all the thoughts in my mind and relax. Another favorite pastime of mine is going to visit my friend Kelsey’s two horses Jack and Bingo. Nothing puts a smile on my face like interacting with those two majestic animals. I’ve really connected with them over the past couple of years. They helped me therapeutically when my emotions were overwhelming me while I was pregnant with my girls. Now they’re gentile and sweet to my daughters when we visit. Compassion for animals is my absolute reason for thriving on a plant-based vegan diet. Knowing that I no longer take part in the suffering of livestock. Having great health, looking and feeling my best is just one of the perks.
I hope that you stick around and check out some simple recipes and then try them out on your family. Here are a couple of my favorites to get you started.
